Pura Vida

More than just a phrase, Costa Rican's term "Pura Vida", meaning "simple life" or "pure life", is a real way of life. Locals use this term to say hello and goodbye, to state they are doing great, to wish all the best. More broadly, it is a way to remind people to enjoy life to the fullest no matter the circumstances and to be grateful for the things you have in your life right now, instead of focusing on negative thoughts. No wonder Costa Rica is one of the happiest countries in the world!
