The Krakowiak

The Krakowiak is one of Poland's five national dances. It is a fast syncopated Polish folk dance that can be traced back to the 16th and 17th centuries and originated in the region of Kraków and Lesser Poland. The Krakowiak dance is distinctly recognizable due to the folk outfits worn by the dancers, which have become the national costume of Poland.
