Trarilonco
Trarilonco is a headdress made of silver coins and is mostly worn by Mapuche women and by girls at traditional festivities. It can be considered as a crown, as the silver coins represent the stars. The Mapuche located in Chile are known for their silverwork and silversmithing expertise. This headdress can be worn in order to show wealth and status or to respect the Ñuke Mapu (Mother Earth) during traditional festivals.
